Adventurous Activities Licensing Act (AALA) - Watersports
The aim of the adventure activities licensing scheme is to give the assurance that good safety management practice is being followed so that young people can have opportunities to experience exciting and stimulating activities outdoors while not being exposed to avoidable risks.
The Centre is licensed to deliver:-   Kayaking, Open Canoeing, Improvised Rafting, Sailing, Windsurfing, Bell Boating.
The licence is renewed annually after licensing authority inspection.
All Centre staff are subject to enhanced CRB checks.
The Centre has a well-equipped classroom, which provides a facility for land-based tutoring or for general use in the event of inclement weather.
Royal Yachting Association (RYA), National Schools Sailing Association (NSSA) All our Instructors are qualified by the RYA. The Centre is recognised as an RYA training Centre for:-  Dinghy Level 1-Start Sailing, Level 2- Basic Skills, Seamanship Skills, Day Sailing, Start Racing, Sailing with Spinnakers, Performance Sailing, Multihull Level 1 & 2. Youth Sailing Scheme - Stage 1,2,3, & 4. Power Boat Level 1, 2 and Safety Boat. Start Windsurfing, Intermediate Windsurfing non-planing, Youth Windsurfing level 1 & 2.

British Canoe Union (BCU)
Approval for Kayak on moderate inland water and Open Canoe on sheltered inland water.
